Hi yesterday i got 38 eggs from those 40 Leghorn chickens of mine. It's pretty wild,can't belive all those eggs LOL.
 
WOW it's been 3 weeks now and thank God for BYC, I like my chickens but they don't like my roost, sleeping on the floor,sleeping in the nesting box, drops of blood in the nesting box, venting the coop, And yes I even tried putting them on the roost.LOL all forty. They must party all night because they do sleep on the roost in the day time. One word of advice I learned not to open a blanket up in side the coop they must of thought I was a giant hawk they all flew up at the same time, had to say sorry to all of them what a blast. Well all 40 of my leghorns have the made 3 weeks with me looking out for them. Still trying to get them to roost and poop in the right places LOL. Later and thanks for all the info I get here Even my wife says "if you don't know look it up on BYC"

Hi, Bob, glad that things are working out in a positive fashion. In their last home, were your hens caged? If so it will take them a while to learn how to be 'real' chickens. Although they can sometimes be skittish, I love Leghorns. They are my all time favorite. Beautiful to look at and productivity that can not be beaten.
 
THEY ARE ROOSTING!!!!! THEY ARE ROOSTING !!!!! It took a month but they are doing it LOL I Had to put them to bed twice but they all on tonight No more poo at the door LOL yah right LOL
Any way tucking them in at night works who would have thought I would be tucking in my chickens LOL I am so happy, I want to get more soon wife says WHOA hold on LOL

btw- tell your wife it's just CHICKEN MATH and you learned it on BYC!!!
