-40 with windchill What do I do?!

I have never tried it so I couldn't comment on it. It's good to hear from someone who has used it and with success.

My daisy was in quite a bit of these cold negative degree nights and never had any frostbite on her comb, photo below. I always used the vaseline. She hated it and would pout for days, lol.

They should be fine. Wouldn't hurt to put wood shavings down deep enough that they can scooch down in it for extra warmth if they need to. Chickens do a lot better in extreme cold than they do in extreme heat, as long as they're dry & out of drafts.

BTW...Ixnay on the space heaters...asking for trouble
