Hey, you are having the same problem I am. Well, mine is a wood cabinet. But the instructions are for the wafer thermostats....those are "backups" in the Sportsman models, not fore everyday use. Sure, they will last a long time, or maybe not. I've killed hundred of chicks this year with my "custom built" job. They maintain like they are working fine for awhile, then when you least expect it, fry the hatch. I just ordered a #3255 thermostat from Cutler Supply. It is a GQF part, but GQF did not have them in stock and wouldn't ship today. The instructions are on GQF website.
