Found 47 duck eggs on Friday. Hens had a hidden nest. Put them in my bator Friday night... How do I keep the hummidity right when I can't fit a bowl in to raise it? What is the best hummidity for duck eggs? This is my first time incubating duck eggs from the start, so I need a little help please. I bought a book but kids did something with it and now I can't use as a reference, ARGHHHH! PLEASE!!

Are you prepared for 47 ducklings? that sure is alot. anyway I know nothing about hatching in an incubator just wanted to say hope you have a great hatch. Did you ever think about selling some of the duck eggs to someone else who may want to hatch some? and was one of your ducks actually sitting on them?

Not quite sure how to raise humidity if there is no room for water. Maybe you could find a space for a wet sponge or wash cloth?

You may find this link useful: http://www.metzerfarms.com/IncubatingAndHatching.cfm

Where the site suggests the "wet bulb" method for humidity readings as you can't put water into your incubator, take up Oregon Blue's suggestion of a wet sponge and use that instead for the "wet bulb" method - I would recommend a natural sponge.

As for your book, if you can't find it, check out your local library and see if they have a copy.

Thanks. I have considdered selling some of the eggs. My ducks are still laying daily. I only have 3 growm hens that are laying. Well then there is my call ducks. My call duck hen is sitting on 4 eggs right now. And no none of my hens were sitting on the eggs that I collected... if someone wants hatching eggs just let me know I will try to ship them, although I have never done it before.....
