Asking for no reserves is like asking for free eggs. It costs a lot to package eggs up well (I spend a fortune in bubble wrap, tape, and egg cartons--I don't use used egg cartons). I do love to share my eggs, and I try to be very reasonable about my prices, but I sell eggs in the first place because it gives me a few pennies to put back into my hobby. I'm darn sure not making any money (I'm not even breaking even), but I spend a lot of money on my birds and I find selling eggs a fun way to help offset the cost a bit. I might as well eat my eggs if I'm going to spend money to ship eggs, which is what I would do if I didn't put a reserve on them. I mean, I love my fellow BYCers and all, but I can't be shipping everyone free eggs.

Even with the reserve, the total is going to be a good deal and less than what I charge outright for my eggs.

Just my $.02 on the reserve thing.

I realize it might be a little less fun, but try to see it from the seller's perspective. Also realize that you are still, in most cases, getting very good deals.
