Hi everyone, I came across this site while looking up info on mixed flocks. My husband and I are adding poultry to our 4H critters, normally we show swine and rabbits, but with our now 5 yr old joining the rest of the 4h fam we decided to change it up. Any advice is greatly appreciated !

My advice: RUN! Run fast.. while you still can! Lol! They have a way of working themselves into your heart, becoming something of an obsession, and the next thing you know, you’ve got WAY more chickens than you ever intended, you’re hanging out on chicken sites in your spare time, and you’re spending a thousand dollars a month... for a few dozen eggs! (That’s why we all have them, dontcha know... and that’s how we all justify them too! Eggs! Hehe! ) Welcome!
