Hi from Illinois,
My name is John, my wife is Heather, and we have three 4h kids, Dan, Dave, and Violet. We have raised everything from cornish crosses, to Buff Brahmas, to mutts that nobody could really figure out their lineage. Our biggest lot was 50 birds that we processed ourselves.
We are so thankful for that experience, and even more thankful that we found a local processor.
This year we have ventured into turkey territory. We have a half dozen BBW. I have been eyeing these birds ever since we started this whole poultry adventure many years ago. I am really hoping for a big beautiful bird for the holidays.
We can't figure out why we never heard of this forum before, but we are sure glad we found you. Stumbled across your Facebook page earlier.
We hope to learn so much more!
The kids have their turkey chicks on the computer so the grandparents and family can watch them grow. Kinda neat, and it uses technology thats over my head. Oh well. here's the page for the turkey chick video. http://trollingthunder.blogspot.com/
Thanks for having us!
