4th Annual BYC NYD Hatch-a-long

Just called home.

Mine are turning and burning.
The Christmas Timer worked just fine.
They kicked on @ 12:05.

Since I am using a GQF Sportsman, It only takes 15 minutes to get up to temp.
I timed it last night, twice just to make sure the timer would do what I needed it to.

I will have to get pics when I get home from work.

I will tell this, I use modified egg flats to keep the eggs from rolling around,
and I can still fit 230 in there, BUT

it is not going to be filled to capacity.

CONGRATS Kelly on winning the # 2 Contest.

Congrats Kelly!

And an update on our 6 year old's hack of an incubator (I started back at work so I couldn't get around to posting again til now)...

We calibrated our thermometers, and instead of being at 98 degrees (what we thought it was at for the last two batches), it was high! Like 10 degrees higher! So we might as well have cooked them! We put in a temperature controller to turn the light on/off, and a hygrometer that we calibrated also, and made a scary and a little bit unstable turner for the eggs. Let's see how it goes this time around. Thanks so much for all you guys' help! We are so excited to be going on this adventure with you all!
