4th Annual BYC NYD Hatch-a-long

Ok, who here has watched Sally's video of how to make the cooler bator? My DH and I just watched it. Wow my DH says, he and I are alike..(he loves tools, electric tools, hand tools, glue, wood...you know..the etc. thing.) He says, I could do that! I know he could. :) Now, let's see how long he gets around to it. Might be a great winter project out in his shop.
Thanks for sharing Sally!

I still haven't candled but I did find this little duckling in the yard today. And I have Coronation Sussex hatching now. Just sharing

Oh Goodness! Such sweetness. The only things that I find wondering in my yard are stray dogs, fox, the occasional skunk....

Sooooooooo something interesting has come to light.

Remember this week me talking about or Sebastopols and their down?

seems SOMEONE ran to Facebook, posted a photo of some poor goose (who isnt ours) who had been plucked bare and bloody and claimed it was a picture of one of my birds.

I DONT HARVEST DOWN FROM OUR GEESE. I mearly said it can be done, and can be done without butchering the geese. It does NOT make them bare and bloody if done properly. It is controversial, but has been done for centuries with geese living for 20+ years.

Please remember we live in FLORIDA, and our photos reflect that we live in FLORIDA and I watermark everyone one of my photos very specifically and wouldnt be easily reproduced.

silly people, always someone wanting to spread rumors.

This is crazy!

Anyone else getting this wind!? Good Gawd...weather app says winds are 20-30mph? No way! The rain is sideways, the GLASS 4 ft diameter table top (which had been weighted down) has taken off and smashed all over my deck. Arrrrgh. I will be picking up that glass for the next year
