I took a cat into the layer pen with me a few nights ago where I have a mouse problem. I know there are mice under the one nest so I lifted it up for her. She got the sucker and then ran out showing me the mouse. She followed me around for 15 minutes just dropping the darn thing in front of me. Last night I took her in with me and I didn't need to show her where to go. The problem is I couldn't get her to come out. Finally I looked and she had 7 mice laying all lined up next to each other. I through the mice in a pail and carried her and the pail out and left her be. She insisted on showing me her catch again. I hope she wasn't wanting to share her feast with me.

its a reptipro 6000. Its my second hatch with it and I love it!!!! It hold humidity really well!!!what kind of bator is that?
curious to know how the bator works for you. I know it doesnt work well with waterfowl at all. But if it does with chicken eggs![]()
Quote: Very nice, I know someone who had an entire season of failed goose hatches from their own eggs with one. Glad they work well with chicken!
on day 18 already!?Since I was unable to be home on the 11th to set at noon with everyone I set all my eggs the morning of the 12th.
I have CHICKS HATCHING!!! I went to put them in LD this morning and I had pops all over the place. I already have chicks out and more zipping and these are LF not seramas. Lol
Does that mean I win??![]()
I love watching your camera! Can't be there all the time, but peek in once in a whilesorry about the blocked camra my son decided to play with his playdough and camra from christmas right there at the desk where the incubator is .
Love that setup, it looks so cozy inside!cluck, these were from a couple of years ago. I really thought that I would keep them, indoors. Not all of them, I was only going to keep a couple of them. But, they are so skittish, not a friendly bird..of course, they are quail. I like canary's. Here's a couple of pictures of the cage I made up for them. After selling the quail, I put my canary in it.Nice and big for him.
It is a nice cage..found it on the net somewhere, can't remember where now!

I know! When Harriet lived with the Sultans and Crevies. she would just dash under them all the time, it was so funny! She also had WAY more gumption and spunk, so they never picked on her, LOL.All seven seramas are still doing great. They muscle their way through everyone else, even though they're so small that they can walk right under the rest, lol.
Isn't that so cute?!?!?!That baby that is hatching is coming from that green egg that one of the chicks went up to and pecked on..guess the invite to come out worked! Cute, sure looks tired!
Oh, I'm so sorrythose little green eggs are about the size of marbles they are button eggs , the speckled ones are cortunix quail and the big eggs are actually tiny little serama chicken eggs.
The prolapse thing Im talking about is on our adult female .
LOL, Yaay!
Be sure to praise her a lot!!! Good kitty!![]()

Ugh, yah, people forget their priorities......Roads are still really bad here. We just watched three cars wreck, so I went outand shoveled two out while a guy in a small plow truck pulled the third out. Then he came and helped me push one out, then I stopped traffic to let him and another guy push the last one out. For some reason, when trying to push vehicles out, others are too darned stupid to stop, they just drive right around. We almost had yet another accident becuase of this. Geez some people irritate me. Are they really in that much of a hurry to get into an accident?!
