My flock getting a post-xmas leftover feast. mmmmm love that stuffing and sweet potatoes.

About 2 seconds later, the larger of the two baby roos jumped in the middle of the sweet potatoes, squawking and flapping like mad.
LOL.
...oh and I don't have any pips yet, either. 8(

Quote: all of my coops are houses that were going to be torn down. We moved them on the property through the years. They are nothing to brg about, however they sure are beautiful to the chickens! One of them I converted to a hospital(I have not used it in 10 years) and the other one I have some pretty nice plans for in the next few years. I hope it is more than just plans.

Here is my pip from the bottom of the egg. I did remove some shell, then, on the left you can see where I tried cutting a bigger hole for the chick, and it bled (took a while to bleed, not much came out) so I knew this chick wasn't ready, turned him so that the hole was more on top, and so I can observe. I think it looks good. I hear him and see his beak poke through and move around a bit. I haven't touched him since last night, and think he's doing ok. Wish I hadn't taken so much shell off. I think it would have been better to take less, but other than that, I think it's still doing fine. I hear him from my chair from the other side of the room! LOL

Plans are great, I hope you achieve them, and now I know what you were talking about in a picture last night of the "hospital", I was like what??? LOL

Your chicks won't forget what they are or where they came from
