Early on this evening I excused myself from our group of friends who are here at the house for New Years and told them I was going to check on my eggs in my bedroom. I sat down on my bed and looked at them...nothing...no peeping, no pips- I guess a few minutes went by, not exactly sure how many, before I realized I had zoned out while staring at the quiet little things...I looked at them some more...logged on here for a bit to check the thread to see what was going on...

all of a sudden I heard something loud coming from the television...it was a cheering crowd and then music playing...a few seconds later I recognized the tune...Auld Lang Syne!! my face started to feel warm and my cheeks turned red as I realized...I had somehow managed to zone out on the eggs and HOURS had passed..IT WAS NEW YEAR'S DAY!!!...Anderson Cooper, the big ball in New York...UGH!!!
Then it dawned on me...I live in Southern California...The celebration was taking place in New York...Fifteen minutes had passed tops!! I really hope these eggs hatch...and then I am going to take a VERY long, much overdue NAP!!!
