4th Annual BYC NYD Hatch-a-long

So I haven't seen my chicks in a long time now. Why? 'cause I gave them a Nesquick container to crawl into and feel safe inside, and they like it! It has paper towel on the bottom so it's soft and they can get their footing in there. So it occurred to me I can check on them with my camera, so I took a picture inside and there they were, happily cuddled up

that is adorable!! I had to take the papertowels out of the duckies as they kept slipping on it... now they have good footing.... I thought they were gonna be spraddled!!

I didnt mean to sound as if I was complaining about anyone winning anything , I just wasnt shure how they would pck a winner with however many time zones we have going on up here in byc

Hummm, mine seem to walk on the paper towels really well. Could be a duck thing? Or maybe we have cheap - rough paper towels, LOL

We still have almost 50 mins until the new year. I best get my pan and spoon ready though..to make my noise. I know the neighbors have fireworks, there will be some noise soon!!

I know it's tough to read, but the cell phone says 12:03. This is how close I came to midnight with a pip. Head, wings, chest, and one foot out, LOL. Seems like he's content to just sit there now for the past 10 minutes, so I'm leaving him be and call it a night. No hatch on the dot, but pretty close and 2 more pips showed up, so the hatch progresses!
