If any of you have major pet stores near, I know they aint cheap but it will make those hovabators stay where you want them to. Its called a hygro-therm controller, made by zoomed. Its whati used in my coolerbator and what is now controlling my ultrabator (see link in my sig). They run aboout 90 bucks, but with all some of you have invested in eggs it would be money well spent.

Mine actually came!! One package was sent out on Tuesday and one friday, I woke up to the sound of 'this is the PO, your deliveries are here'

I thought the silkies got lost in the mail, they were supposed to be here sometime last week.

It's driving me crazy! I'm ready for them to be here so I don't have to worry anymore.

I got these on a swap and was VERY impressed with the egg color. I can't wait for them to hatch. I'm suddenly thankful for my cabinet hatcher. I have 6 compartments but now I'm thinking I might need MORE than 6 lol

I am getting eggs in the mail today. Sad since I have over 300 birds and as of this morning I have one egg to set tomorrow from my birds. Lazy things. It's really the weather one day 60's and then last two days around 0. I guess I don't blame them from not laying when they are trying to keep from freezing. I am now on postal delivery watch so I can grab the eggs before they freeze.

Hey folks!

I'm barely present right now, but I'll be joining in, as usual. This will be my last batch for a long while because I've got a burgeoning business, I've taken on my job full-time (since spring which is why I've been MIA) and now I'm having my elderly, blind, wheel-chaired Grama moving in with us...so it's been a whirlwind year!!

Anyway, I'll be setting some ducks, who will obviously hatch later, and I'll set a bunch of Chocolates: Marans, Silkies, Cochins, d'Uccles, Ameraucanas and Orps. I don't know numbers until I see what's been laid while I've been out of town the last 2 days, but I'll tell you when I know.

I have to clear the incubator of all the chicks in it right now...lots of Chocolates, some of Jim's (Iowa Blues plus some surprise eggs) he sent for MyABCs3 that I hatched for her, and some Konzas. I'm ready for a break, but felt like I needed to join you all!

btw- MrHeinz77- I need to know what in the world the unknown eggs were you sent MyABCs3 because they hatched while I was out of town and I can't tell who is what without knowing all of the options...I have too many variables in there of my own!!

Happy hatching, everyone, and don't forget to get your Ecoglow or Sweeter Heater for the chicks...it's the best thing for that brooding stage.

Yeah those are great. I have a sportsman, but my dad said I wasn't allowed to use it and had to use the small bator. His way of making sure I don't go to crazy with this winter hatch haha
