what kind of chicken is that she looks very quizzical

She is a Buff Orpington - one of the 2 oldest chickens we have left from our original flock. Her name is Broody - because that is constantly what she does. A couple years ago, our rooster was very hard on her and tore open the top of her head. She was very sick and probably a little brain-damaged, but she pulled through and is always the first to greet you (if she isn't on the nest). She's an awesome mommy, too!

Just a little info about these Icelandics. From left to right are: Kella, Dreki, and Brynhildur. They are one of my trios that I got from Notafarm. I have since lost Brynhildur but Dreki and Kella are going strong as are several of their offspring.
