4th Annual BYC NYD Hatch-a-long

I have had a "great" Christmas Eve ! I was playing with my youngest son Kaden, jumped on my bed and broke a slat in box spring, then. at my wife grandparents i dropped a present and it broke, so I went to go get a replacement present and wouldn't you kneavy traffic and we were braking hard. I had 2 veggie rays in passenger seat.the top slid from braking I reached to save a 10 dollar tray and rear ended the person in front of me. A bent exhaust too on there vehicle and a squashed front end on ours. Funny thing is that is my line of work. I am a master refinish tech of 17 years. Looks like I will be fixing her car on my week off.

Ouch! Glad you can do the repairs though. Some day it will be a funny story............

If the kids weren't 2, 6, 8, 10 and 12, I'd totally go for gift bags! But 2 year olds NEED to unwrap presents!
5 kids, it must be wild at your house on Christmas morning! Years ago, I lived in an apartment house and a couple, who were childless and next door to me, would sneak about the hallways on Christmas morning listening for the kids waking and seeing their presents. I was so happy to learn that some years later they had kids of their own.

Mine are very close in age to yours. They are 2, 5, 7 1/2, and 9. But my 2 year old is like a Tasmanian devil, he has so much energy I wouldn't be able to get him to sit still long enough to unwrap a present with wrapping paper.

It is going to be impossible to keep caught up through the holidays. I have hundreds of posts behind. All you people with all of this available time should come to my house and help me! I knew I have missed so much information. I hope everyone has a wonderful day tomorrow. I think I tossed out the last of the clear eggs today. Half of the shipped eggs were infertile and I wish i could have had an opportunity to try to hatch them. OH well the risk of purchasing eggs. It will still be fun with what I am going to hatch.

Hmmm, whatcha doing to get ready for Christmas (or in this case Eve) dinner?

Deviling eggs.

It just seems so wrong.

Ah, you know they'd eat 'em up too the second you weren't looking!

Someone come wrap and label soap for me? I have twenty bars that have to be delivered by 4pm and they're completely unwrapped!
What can I say, truth? I'm so glad I'm not you right now!

But in my family you can't do laundry between Christmas and New Years, or bad luck, so I've got 4 more loads to do, a party to go to, Church for 10 PM candle services, Ugh, I'm not gonna make it!

Here is a picture of my ducklings that just hatched (along with a bunch of chicks).
Oh what a colorful basket of sweetness!

Oh, I'm so sorry! Ugh! I'm glad you're able to laugh it off. It's just that bad luck trying to get out of your system so you can have a fantastic New Year full of all good things!!!

Here's the sign that I told you about earlier.

And here is my first egg art entry. It's nothing fancy because I only have pencils right now, but it is what it is. The sad part is that I set it down on the couch while I was uploading the pictures and someone sat on it. At least I have the pictures.

As far as the NYD eggs, I tried not to look at them too long. I only have 5 that still look promising and I didn't even see movement in all of them. 3 that looked great for a while, appear to have died but I haven't removed anyone from todays candling. The incubator feels so empty with such a small hatch.
