I am hopeless on these threads so sorry if the answer is right in front of me and I am missing it but which time zone generally being referred to when none are listed? I am still celebrating whenever I manage to write a post without having it go somewhere strange and several times have managed to log myself off of the site so it would be a miracle if I actually could improve and actually post along with everything I have been following but I am having a really fantastic time and have my incubator on one bedside table and the laptop on the other...

Hi Sally, it's a chicken and it pipped on the pointy (not so pointy) end about ... I think 26 hour ago I wrapped him in a moist towel and put him back. He's peeping, seems pretty ok. Don't think he can zip though

you can see his beak and its free??

Yes, I think it's healthy, just upside down, a little cramped and possibly not quite ready to come out. I just don't want to tear the membrane as it might be with active veins still? I don't know? I also don't want it to get shrink wrapped. If my little wet towel wrap will keep it from drying out, then it'd be good, he could come out when he wants, I think, as a lot of the shell is off?? Then again........? I may not get sleep tonight! LOL

Congrats on the duckling!

Hoping to have my first duckling in ...oh...4 more weeks? (Muscovy) Right now they are 3 mm long with lovely veins.
