Good Morning! Trying to read all the posts from last evening, congratulations to everybody who have chicks and/or pipping eggs. Mine are stubbornly silent, if they don't get a move on I won't have a chick even close to midnight!

Quote: We always hatch with the rubber shelf liner in each hatching drawer. It stabilizes the eggs and keeps the new hatchlings from splaying on slick wire. Those using styrofoam bators can compensate any humidity issues by using sponges and containers of water ONTOP of the wires.

That's where I am this morning. Still nothing. I'm beginning to wonder as I normally have early hatchers. I'm hoping it is just the Marans eggs as I have never hatched them before.'Twas the night before hatching
And all through the bator
Not a peep, not a pip
Not a zip... Maybe later??
