I have a home made cooler 'bator right now.

I heat my small cooler bator with a light bulb, and despite two computer fans I still have hot spots!

I figure after I buy a water thermostat, more light kits, shipping etc I will have the price of the digital incu kit! and no hot spots! lol.

Oh well, if so, it's fun to watch those little ones come into this big ol world. No matter how many times I see it, it is just a miracle to me.

No, I actually set late around 11:00pm on 12/11 rather than noon, I really don't expect much action until sometime tomorrow. This first one surprised me being so early.

ya, I'm sure mine isn't evenly warmed... but it's my first go, so we'll see how this goes, and that'll help decide if we want to do more or not.

Has anyone else ever noticed how bad the Aquafina water bottles are, they s**k. One of the expensive brand and the stupid bottle don't stand up right. Funny thing is I work for the same company that owns them, but a different part. Can you quess? Whoever gets it right will get 6 + mystery eggs in the spring or sooner (when weather breaks) go I will run this for 2 hours and give my answer at 10:30 PM.

Still nothing, no sounds, no movement.
Ok, there is the sound & movement of me pacing around trying to clean house and checking the bator periodically and mutter about what am I gonna tell ppl if they show up & zero eggs hatch.
eek this it not looking so good atm, and the humidity has fallen back to 40% again, even though I broke the rules this am to put a second water container in there.

It is 8:28pm eastern, so I don't imagine I'm gonna have anyone out to win me that first hatch prize in 3.5 hrs w/ zero peeps or pips : (
