I got everybody washed for the show and nails trimmed. I just wish I could have gotten my bantam White Langshan cleaner. The darn girl is yellowish. Ugh. Now I really need to clean their feet and legs.

This is my first winter with them. I plan on watching the boys comb really close, and will move them to a heated coop if I see signs of frostbite. I haven't ever had any problems with my bantams and cold, and my leghorn hasn't ever got frostbite so I'm hoping they'll be fine.OH those are so pretty I would love to hatch some Mottled Japanes how to they handle the cold weather ?
I'm afraid to have white chickens for showing, lol. None of mine usually appear anywhere close to white. Good luck at the show!I got everybody washed for the show and nails trimmed. Have you tried any of the shampoos for white dogs im not sure if exactly what you wash a chicken in but I know the blue whitening shampoos worked wonders on my maltese brought all the yellow outI got everybody washed for the show and nails trimmed. You mean Japanese bantams? Those are huge looking eggs! Wow!
The other day my leghorn pullet had a nasty poop splattered all over her (she must like to sleep under the roost!) so i couldn't take it and gave her a bath. I still had a yellowish stain there when I finished blowing her dry. Amazing how she let me wash and dry her when she's always so skittish! I'll have to remember whitening dog shampoo if I ever want them looking tip top for pictures or something ;P (don't believe I'll show, LOL)I got everybody washed for the show and nails trimmed. Aww, you won him over by just being his darling daughterMy freeloader decided to lay today. The one egg I've seen from her before now was cream with dark brown spots, this one is cream with lavender spots. Now I really have no idea what she is. I think since we "fixed" Red she feels safer, which makes no sense to me. I wish she would have waited a little later to lay because I'd like to know what her chicks look like. To make things worst it's a really weird shaped egg. I'm beginning to think she's past laying age and that that's why this is only the second egg she's laid since we caught her. She's pretty though. At least I know I'll be able to hatch some more of my own eggs and I know for a fact I get to keep any of the Seramas I hatch. I won dad over by showing him pics.![]()
