My test hatch goes on lockdown tomorrow my first hatch since july. I can't wait for some chicks.

I started my test hatch last Thursday. I candled them today all of them are developing Making sure all is well. My eggs I am shipping are fertile and incubator is running smoothly. My boys are eggcited about the swap and hatching new eggs other than our own.

I'd like to join if I can get my hands on some eggs. None of my girls are laying, but it would be nice to see a new breed or color around the farm anyways. Guess I'd better start searching the forums and ebay!

Glad you both joined BYC and our hatch. Brahma02 you can check the BST thread there are a lot of peeps selling eggs. michaelf I have not had children to do this with, my daughter will be having my 4H baby on April 28

Didn't get chickens until my kids were grown.

Thanks mstricer, I saw the NYD hatch a long and had to be a part. We have hatched 5 times this year with an average of 83%. My brother is brooding the last hatch. I am trying to get him to join BYC. My oldest son is doing a FFA, SAE project with our chickens and hatching.

If you have a Trader Joe's near you, their eggs are fertile. Debs_Flock hatched several of their eggs last year.

We live in the land of nothing! No Trader Joes. No Whole Foods, just two Wal-Marts and a Target! But good to know!

We decided to make the hatch a long a 4-H group project! We will have the group come learn about eggs, hatching and chick care! OHHHH, this is gonna be GGRREAT!

For white birds try the horse shampoo designed to remove manure stains. It is fantastic for getting the yellow out as well. We use a lot of it due to having Paint horses who are part pig

That is what we use on our POA "pigs"! We have a white show pony that rolls in it every night. We have to wake early to give him a purple bath before the shows!
