4wk chick- acting "still" and white poop

Hi all,
We've got a 4wk old chick that we got from the feed store last week. After introducing it to the other chicks (most of the same age) the chick became "quiet". We noticed but saw nothing else wrong with it but continued to watch. Yesterday the chick presented with a bloodied vent, which we immediately put the purplish stuff (No Peck/Rooster Booster) on and isolated the chick to prevent further antagonism from its pen-mates. Unfortunately, this chick is its own worst enemy- it seems to peck its own behind (sigh), removing the rooster booster, so not much healing is taking place and there continues to be quite a bit of blood.

Then today the chick presented with solid white poop- no brown at all- and when we apply the Rooster Booster it gets "washed off" by the white poop and goes dripping down the chick's backside.

I've done multiple online searches, trying to figure out what is causing this but nothing seems to stand out as a "for sure". Oh, and the chick isn't laying down much. Just standing still (we've seen other chicks do this when they were the victims of a vent pecking neighbor as well, so figured that is all we are seeing, though with the white poop I'm not so sure).

Any input you can offer would be very much appreciated.

Thanks so much!

Mac

You might try some Blue Kote on the area. I know for a fact that stuff doesn't wash off. I can't even get it off my skin when I get it on me. I've never tried the Rooster Booster so I don't know how it compares.

Thank you for your reply. I didn't realize there was a difference in coating products. I'll look for some Blue Kote and see if that might help a bit.

Thanks again,

Mac
