4x8 coop

Thoughts? Ideas? My husband was thinking livestock mats, or whatever the giant rubber mats are called. im worried about moisture getting underneat it, etc.

Consider deck paint or Black Jack 57 which I mention using above, posts #5 & 8.

Our coop is 4x8 and built inside an existing shed. These pictures were taken when the coop was first completed and I have since moved their food to a hanging feeder that’s located under the poop board. Their waterer is over by the walk-thru door now. I have also expanded their run to the existing metal fence to accommodate my growing flock, because, chicken math because it’s inside a shed we left the roof of the coop open for ventilation. I was going to expand their roost space as I added more chickens, but they huddle together when cold and took it upon themselves to clear a shelf that was in the coop when they want more space amongst themselves i purchased a pre-fab coop and placed it by the run as a brooder. It was July when they were out there and fully feathered. Just wasn’t ready to introduce them, except on a “look but don’t touch” terms.
