5:30 am phone call "Hello this is the post office...."

My p.o. usually calls around 6:30 a.m. when their truck comes in.

This last batch though seven a.m. came and went and no call! I called them and they said they hadn't received them. I knew they had shipped so I was starting to get uptight fearing they'd been lost in the mail but the post lady said there was a chance they might come in on the noon express mail truck even though they'd only been shipped priority. Sure enough they did! Three days exactly to get here and a week later I've still got every one of them including the extras they sent.

My chicks should be coming around three today. At least that's when my ducklings came last year, and the two hatcheries are pretty close to each other. I am counting down the hours!

Got that same call today while at work about 2:30. "This is the post office...and your chicks are here." "Great," said I, "how late are you open?" "We close at 4:30." "I don't get off work til 5:30 and work 45 minutes from you guys!" thinking... thinking... "Ah ha! I'll get my SIL to pick them up and bring them to my house!" "That will be fine, sir."

Long story short, I GOT BABIES!!!! All alive and well, with about 8 or 9 extras for the trip.
