Help I am looking for some help with my baby chicks ! They are 5-6 weeks old now we started loosing them when they were around 3-4 weeks old. There is slight blood in their poop when it started so initially we thought coccsidiosis; after I started corrid there was still blood in the poop. I didn’t understand why it wasn’t helping and we lost 4. Just back to back. Then 2 weeks went by they were all fine then this week I woke up to one that was fine the night before and sick by the morning it lived the next day but was lifeless just holding on. So I had enough and took a fecal specimen to the vet to have it checked for coccsidiosis. The test came back negative!!! So now I am just stunned and first thing I was terrified it is Mareks of course( worse case scenario) here is the details :
1.Chicks have never been outside , they live in a very clean brooder box that I clean at least once a
day.
2. the chicks symptoms is literally test book coccsidiosis other than the corrid doesn’t work, they have blood in the poop many not quite as bad as some of the pics. But odd, they start laying down not being able to walk and then become lifeless, it comes on quick as soon as I see the first sign of sitting around by their selves eyes closed not normal they are typically dying within 24 hours.
3. I have corrid for 5 day treatment which done nothing. I put electrolytes and vitamins in the water along with apple cider vinegar.
4. I have not changed food, bedding or anything from anything I have been using with my other larger chickens or from anything I was using from the baby chicks before these. I am feeding the purinia chick starter.

It's not uncommon for the coccidiosis to be brought under control by the Corid, but inflammation of the intestines can then spawn a serious bacterial infection. This is call necrotic enteritis. It often leads to death unless a sulfa antibiotic is started soon enough.

Your best bet would be to ask a vet for this to get the rest of these chicks started on it as soon as possible. Or you can get it here. https://www.lambertvetsupply.com/Bird-Sulfa-100-Tablets_p_26947.html
