No, that isn't blood yet ,those bitty bites happen especially on combs.
Crickets will get those a lot with such impressive head gear.
They play rough, they do pretty much everything rough actually :)

there was blood last time, garbanzo(the brown one i think is a boy) bit one of crickets spikey things on his comb :(

an update: this is the little guy acts like a grown up :), his head gear grew bigger, his tail & wings are longer than his body, he’s also very vocal, they peck eachother here and there, unfortunately the other cockerel is currently injured, you can check my “rooster attacked chick) thread, he’s slowly improving but i’m currently waiting on him to hopefully walk!

im not sure what breeds :/
My goodness, they're cute! And crickets is mature!

One of my last to hatch is the first to get red horns and an attitude. It's inevitable. Fortunately this only happens on pasture, not in the brooder, with my Crevecoeur chicks. So under supervision.

After the incident in the video below, Lestat Le Roo calmed down and all was well. He was fighting his sister but I think his attraction to her is really toward mating. They're dinosaurs 🤷🏻‍♀️

those are lovely chickens! crickets has always been a feisty little guy and my other girl doesn’t let anyone get in her way so those two don’t combine so they’re always screaming at eachother :)

Awww! How funny. I have confident hatchlings. They all act like cockerels sometimes, but Lestat is definitely emerging in earnest.
