5-6 week old silkies

Okay so I’m getting 4 Silkie chicks this weekend who are about a week away from being fully feathered. They have an outdoor coop ready for them. Should I add a heat source for a week or so? They have been spending the days outdoors and only sleeping in a garage/shop at night. It’s in the 40’s here at night lately and I don’t want them to be cold. These will by my first chicks so I’m not sure!

If they are off heat in the garage they will be okay in the Coop with bedding.

They should be fine in your coop without the heat source.
Hay seems to do a great job for my chicken coop! It keeps the chickens warm and doesn't get kicked up.
