This does not look right to me? Any thoughts?

We recently lost over two dozen chicks to Coccidiosis, so I’m panicked. This is a brand new brooding cage with disinfected waterers, feeders, etc., but the dropping don’t look right. We put a few drops of Corrid into their water right out of the gate to be safe, but still I feel like somethings going on. They are eating medicated feed.

Is that the only one you see like that?
What's behavior like?
How old?

A few drops of Corid in the water is not going to do anything.
IF you want to give Corid, then give the correct dosing of 2tsp liquid Corid per gallon of water for 5-7 days. This should be the only thing in the water and no extra vitamins/electrolytes should be given during the course of treatment.

Do you have bedding in the brooder? Chicks do need to be exposed to poop so if you are keeping everything completely "sanitized" then you are working against exposure.
Coccidia lives in the soil and poop, chick(en)s need to have some exposure in order to build resistance.

If chicks are active/eating/drinking and that's the only poop I saw like that, I would continue to just monitor behavior. Symptoms of Coccidiosis include lethargy, huddling/hunching up, an unkempt ruffled appearance, not eating/drinking and loose stool with mucous or blood.

Wyorp Rock - I so appreciate the time you’ve taken to respond so thoroughly to my question.

This is NOT the only poop I’ve seen - most of them look similar, none are solid. There is no blood however.

I do have pine shavings on the other side of the cage, it’s just very big. I’ve been cleaning and moving them side to side, so I can stay on top of disease. In all fairness, I’m sure I’m being obsessive. Losing 28 chicks in 5 days has made me second guess every decision I make. We have hatched and raised three sets of chicks with no problems, now this.

The chicks hatched on Monday, so they are approximately five days old. They’ve seemed a little less active every day. I’ve seen the huddling/hunching you mention with the last hatch, but I’m not seeing any of that just yet. They are all just laying under the brooder plate in separate locations. They are not out and about as much as I’d like to see; which also means that they are not eating and drinking normally.

When I said a few drops of Corrid, I actually made a one gallon jug of treated water based on the directions, BUT I also added one of those electrolytes/probiotics packets.
Please tell me what to do! I want to give these
little beings their best chance

Thank you in advance!!!
Ang

That's a lot of chicks to lose in 5 days.
What is the date on your feed? Photos of the whole brooder, the type of feed, etc. may be helpful.

How much Corid have you been giving in the water?

5 days old is fairly young for Coccidiosis to be an issue, but it's a possibility.

Here’s a few pics of their world at the moment. I remixed their water with just the CORID as directed (1 TSP per 1/2 Gallon). The food bag says “made 02/02/21”. Anything you see that causes you concern?
