My 5-day old polish chick is limping. I don't see any obvious injury to her left leg or foot. She can bend her toes around my finger but she appears to not want to put weight on her foot. She is eating and drinking. What should I do?

Can you post a closeup picture or two of her standing? She might have a leg bone deformity or slipped tendon. I would start some chick vitamins in her water daily.

I posted some photos. I noticed a red mark on one of her toes.

I just figured out HOW the chick got injured. One chick keeps yanking on its fellow chick's toes while they drink. I have intercepted two attacks thus far! I have raised countless chicks since 2009. This is something I have never encountered before.

Did your chick heal up?
