5 day old chick taking bird baths?

She knows how to drink and drinks some water from the ice cube tray and then dunks her head it in and takes a bath like she's a robin?! Anyone else's do this? She's a cute little chick (how's that for redundant!) from the Speckled Sussex bin.

I'm a first time mom to chicks and mine don't do that. How cute.

Also a first time mom to hicks, but none of mine do that either.... does she walk differently or really attack her feed (like she has bad eyesight-depth percetion is off?) Maybe the dunking isn't on purpose ....she just overestimates the distance and then has to shake off the extra water?. I don't really know though, but I don't think it'll hurt her!

Wow major typo.... I just called my kids hicks (hahaha) Obviously I meant first time mom to chicks!
