5 deaths in 2 hours... only one remains

How did you know that they died from the heat, what were the signs?


They were laying right in the heat of the lamp and dead. Once I started watching the temperature under the heat lamp I understood. The heat lamp spiked every now and then with 120 degree temps. Most of the time the temp was at 100 but that spike was hard on them. I didn't loose any more because I moved them all out to the brooder that is thermostaticly controlled.
