Hey there. I have three 5 month old pullets who recently started to lay~ two sex links, and a wyandette. The wyandette has laid beautiful eggs since day one, but the two sex links, seem to be struggling. They started laying a couple weeks ago....and at first things seemed fine, I was getting an egg every other day, mostly small ones, but I had even gotten a couple double yolkers too. Then, nothing but soft rubber shelled eggs since. One day, I actually discovered that one of them had laid three soft shelled eggs in one day, which I didnt know was even possible.

I have them on layena and oyster shell. I am wondering if their is anything else I need to do, and if this is even normal.

Give them some time. My pullets really made some ugly eggs at times, at all hours, too! They'd lay no shell eggs at night! I'd simply find perfectly formed yolk and white on the coop floor. Before they could really go into production, they went into a minor molt and cold weather came. Once they got back on track this spring, the haven't had a problem.
