Hi everyone,
I have a silkie hen, maybe about 5 months old, and she definitely has stunted growth she is much smaller then the other hens. A few weeks ago I first started noticing her opening her mouth up when eating and seeming to gasp for air, throughout the days she just kind of stands around and has very heavy breathing and does the gasping for air. She struggled to walk for a bit, and has weird stuff on her legs which I have no idea what it would be but I will post a photo on here, and there are like red swollen sacks on her neck from where I think she may have been pecked by roosters? Her face did seem a bit swollen as well and she was sneezing.
Unfortunately, she did have to get put down which was a very hard decision to make but she was very miserable and couldn’t do much and was just getting bullied by the other chickens. But if could someone please point me in the direction of what this could have been? And also any ideas about the images of her legs? In case it’s contagious and I have to keep and eye out for the other birds
any help is appreciated,
Thank you

Looks like some sort of infection. Let me see if I can get some people to come give their opinion.
one of my other hens dropped dead a few days ago out of the blue, she had been lethargic for about 3 days and I was actually planning on bringing her into the house that afternoon, I didn’t think it was that bad until she unfortunately passed away which is horrible, she did seem quite underweight as well?
