5 months old no eggs and no crowing

20 weeks would be early for the breeds that you have to initiate egg laying. That coupled with the shortened daylight hours will result in delayed onset of laying as they mature. The gray bird with white earlobes looks to be at point of lay.

I have had 5 month old pullets start laying in November. I now have 6 month old pullets who have not yet started laying.



Yeah, the waiting is hard.

I have three new ones from this last April… one of them is laying regular and the other two have yet to start! Mine are going on nine months I have never had this happen before! And I usually get eggs all winter from young girls! I did have a terrible dog attack in September that killed more than half my flock so I wonder if they are still traumatized by it
