I had 5 eggs Pip... or I have the little crack in the egg.. they haven't broke the piece off yet. They started yesterday and some last night. I am using the egg carton method... I hope I'm doing it correctly. I cut a small hole out of the bottom, about the size of nickel. Maybe I'm being impatient, I have always put the eggs on their side before. I don't see any movement. I guess it is hard for the egg to move much in the carton. I didn't spray the eggs. Should I spray the eggs. Do they sometimes wait a while to get going after making that little indent??? ( Tia is tapping her finger on the table and biting her nails) Come on little duckies lets get on with this process... I don't want to lose you.... Temp is at 37.5 C. and humidity at 65%.... They really aren't due until tomorrow.......

It's so nerve wracking. Be patient. It takes a very long time for them to get throgh the shells. They will be active one minute and then rest the next. May feel like something is wrong but most times there isn't.

Thanks for the encouragement!!! I will try to get busy with something else..... maybe the time will go by more quickly...... : )

6 pips now... I'm not sure if they are quite pips... as they haven't broken all the way through yet.... Very interesting just a little indent... hope there is more to come soon. There is one egg with nothing yet..... oh come on eggs.... I can't wait........

I hope everything goes okay... I can't see much going on... maybe I should have put the eggs on their side...... Do they sometimes make that little crack and then still hatch much later???? I don't know what else I can do the humidity is right on.....

The best thing to do during pipping is read a book. It can take a short time or a day or two to zipp out of that egg. Thats alot of hard work on a little chick when you think about it. Dont worry there bodies are still absorbin the yolk and most if not all should zip before long. Patience is a vital tool in hatching chickas.

Tia-
I hope you're still there I was reading your posts about indian runners and mine pipped today and they're not due until Wednesday. Two hatched out real quick and the others are having a hard time. Did you end up helping? It's driving me nuts!!
