Thanks Chris! Would I want the course variety?

I just get the regular All Purpose Sand like Lowes sells.
It is a mixture of course and fine sand. Works good for all ages of fowl.

I've been providing "grit" for my 3 hens since day one. When they were all big enough and knew where their nesting was located I began to let them forage. Lo and behold they found my outdoor incense pot filled with somewhat coarse builders sand. I now find them circled around the burner enjoying their "holy grit". Despite all the offerings that a half acre of garden has they love the altar burner. These girls are a never ending source of entertainment.
