I have 5 roosters that need new homes ASAP. We are going to be somewhat homeless while we move over the summer and cannot take the roosters with us. We live in the Sacramento, CA area but we are willing to drive them to deliver within reason. Before anyone types out a response, we are NOT in the SoCal quarantine area nor are we any way close to it. We are 6 hours away.
My email is [email protected] and my name is Sheri

I know one is an Easter egger bantam but the other 4 I’m not sure about. Two showed up on our property two years ago and never left. Another was a rescue, he walked right up to us alone at a lake, I think he’s an Easter egger too. The last one was a class hatching experiment and he’s very sweet, looks kind of like a red leghorn is what someone said.

They sound like good roos. Unfortunately, I'm too far away to help, but if you post pictures it might help get people interested.

Hey Doll!

It's so weird to read this today when i just decided last night to look for a new roo.

I had a rescue roo just pass away a few months ago & we miss him dearly.
He was THE most friendly big guy that loved hugs & being picked up, car rides & playing with my dogs. Chanticleer just hung out in my yard all day foraging when he wasn't being spoiled with ALL sorts of veggies & fruits or picking fruit off of my orange tree. He would come running every time we called him & would sleep at night in a big dog crate on my porch.

Are any of your roos very friendly & into being handled? I'm in Sac & have been looking for a rescue to give a great home to like our big boy Chanti had.

I love your Chanti! We have one who is a real sweetheart. We call him Fitz and he is very sweet and good with the ladies. We came about him after a teacher who did an egg hatching experiment discovered he was a rooster and her neighbors weren't too happy! He is usually very busy taking care of his ladies but he loves to just sit or stand next to you as you cuddle the demanding hens. He brings them to the front door every morning looking for cat food, sometimes bringing them right on in the house to steal from the cat, lol. He likes to hand feed, but most times he grabs the food to feed the ladies. He likes to sit in my teen daughters lap too when she's sits at the table, he just hops up. He has never shown any aggressive behavior, not even puffing his neck feathers at us, even with kids running around. He's a kind of midsized rooster and he's never been around dogs. My kids all really adore him and they really wish we could keep him. His photo is down below:

He's adorable!

Is he a loud/frequent crower? Just curious.:D
Also, I don't have any girls for him. I wonder if he'd be okay without them after being used to having a harem.
