5 wasp queens .. IN ONE NEST... holy cow!!!!

It's too bad that the exterminator couldn't save or do anything with the queens as wasps are very beneficial insects. But, I certainly can understand why someone wouldn't want them around. They can be very pesky and can sting multiple times.

It's possible that those were new queens that hadn't left the nest, yet.

I don't actually dislike bugs...dont' like them either, really.
But they are here for a reason. Sometimes I don't know the
reason...but some purpose surely.

So I don't harm nests or things UNLESS they are in a position
to threaten me. Build a nest on my porch, I'll take it down. Out
in the garage, not so much.

Snake...free to crawl around unless it crawls too close to my house.
Dead snake.

But for the most part, I let the bee's be.

I wish more people were like you. A tip for your dogs, I feed my dogs garlic to repel bugs. And if we go out in the woods for a walk I make up a spray bottle of lavender and ceder oils mixed with water. I use the spray on us people too and it works great. We sprayed it on then took a walk, mosquitoes were everywhere. But we didn't get bit once.

I dont break out the bug bombs willy nilly... i usually let my chickens do that for me... the only reason I called the exterminator was because i dont like getting stung while i am in the shower or on the throne... the nest was right beside my bathroom window and my house is 150+ years old and has been declared historical so I cant change my windows. I like to open my windows and let the fresh air in .. i only use the window AC units when its unbearable... I do have most of my windows screened with makeshift frames that are held in with hook and eyes.. but I cant do it with 4 of my windows because of how they open and the lack of a frame... (hard to explain) .. well one of these windows is my bathroom windows.. and trust me after my son is in there.. you need the window open

when the exterminator was here he started killing willy nilly the spiders that were around my windows and i told him to stop.. and he did.. but I agree.. most will spray with no regard on the balance of nature

Myself i think its fine to remove a few nest of wasp, if in wrong area. As far as so many people out there trying to remove all insect in their yard, thats just wrong in IMO
