5 week old Amberlink. Cockerel?

I got three amber links and three barred rock pullets from the local feed store (so I know they are hatchery)
I am questioning this Amberlink. I swear it tried to crow this afternoon.

I thought I read that if they are cockerels they would show color by this age be there is none. I really do not want a boy. I have had three and they were so mean I had to regime them. This one is so sweet right now. The easiest to handle and no fear of me. It just settles quietly into my hand.

I actually love roosters and love their crowing. I live in the country and they are allowed. I have just had very bad luck with them. I have too many kids coming by to have a nasty rooster. He is unusually calm and good tempered. He likes being handled. I hope he is nice.
There are two other amber links. One is definitely a pulley. The other has a slightly reddish comb but not as big as this guy. There are runny buds of waddles but hard to see. Could that be one too?
