Pullet or Cockerel?

Looks like a cockerel to me.

With the lack of feathers, I would guess cockerel

Possibly a cockerel, but not from the breeds listed. Possibly a cuckoo Marans instead of the black copper...in which case, knowing which parent is the cuckoo could say if the chicks is sex linked.

I see a pea comb, but not much in the way of muffs, either. How positive are you on parentage?

I agree. Cuckoo Marans instead of BCM sounds right. I'm not too worried about the lack of beard/muffs since I've had some pure Ameraucana hatch out with little in the way of fluffy cheeks, but then get lovely beards/muffs with their first moult. The pea comb is the important part.

I am 100% positive the hen was French BCM and Roo was Ameraucana.

Clearly a roo, I would say.

Here's a look into the future (11 weeks). Pretty similar mix, BCM and Araucana.

This guy has been crowing for about a week and a half now.
