I have 6 ducks and 6 chicks, brooded separately. The ducks are almost 5 weeks old and about to go into the coop. They go outside twice a day to swim and forage for about an hour at a time. Yesterday I noticed the Black Swedish seemed a little quieter than usual. Today she still seems like something is off but I don't know what's wrong. She's been tucking herself into the corner of the brooder but still close to the others. I have seen her eating, drinking, and pooping. I also gave her some probiotics and electrolytes which she drank. They are on Purina flock raiser with oats to cut the protein as well as brewers yeast. There have been some green poops but they do forage and get treats of peas and greens. Is that normal? I'm a first timer here. It did get down to about 58 degrees f in the brooder the night before. Everybody looked a little chilly but seemed to handle it fine. Could she have gotten too cold? The only other thing I noticed is that somebody tore some cardboard off the side of the brooder, so she may have eaten that. I don't think her crop feels unusual although i'm no expert. All the ducks are different breeds and the others seem a little ahead with their feather growth. She is really molting her down and getting her wing and tail feathers right now. Can that make her seem withdrawn? Any help is much appreciated.

Yes, they have grit. They stay together as a group but aren't huddled. It has been around 90 degrees here during the day. Between 70-78 where they are brooded during the day and drops to about 64-68 degrees at night. Although it did get much colder than anticipated a few nights ago.

I'm sure she will be ok..We worry and most times it's nothing. Give her a day or two...
