So, while I would love to say I'm not sure why my chick isn't feeling well, I can't, I think I know exactly what happened, and seriously need some advice. We finished our large coop addition last week, and were very eager to love the 6+ week old giants and wyandottes to the coop. They were out there a few days and having such a good time, I decided after a few days to move our other brooder of assorted silkies out there. Ranging between 4-6 weeks old. They have two heat lamps in the coop, access to several waterers, chick starter feed, chick grit, and some FF. The smallest, and if course my favorite chick B-Mo has started acting a little strange since the move. It's been rainy and a little cold out so they haven't been in the run, just the coop. I noticed last night he wasn't as active as everyone else he was off to the side by himself. So I made him an emergency brooder with a lamp, electrolyte water with probiotics, and some high protein feed. He lays on his stomach mostly, not moving much. No excessive peeping, I've watched him eat, not really drinking much though. I put a friend in the brooder with him. I'm sure he got cold, or wet or something. General listlessness and sadness abound. I love this little vaulted blue peep please let me know that else I should do!
