5 Week Old Silkie...Wanna guess my gender???

Any ideas on the gender of my Silkie?

I am by no means the silkie expert but my exp with them is HARD TO SEX by just looking...best think you can do is FEEL the pelvic bones...closer together its a male, wider apart its a female.

Yep, way to young still to even make a guess and the pelvic bone thing only works when they are much older.
At that still isn't right all the time!
Silkies are ticky tricky tricky!!

The crest isn't developed enough for me to take a guess.

I can usually tell by how a chick carries or the stance when upright. Hard to explain but the cockerels just seem to stand a strut taller. All of my male silkie chicks had less poofy crest than the females. It is tough with a single chick to tell without looking for the variations to the others.

OP just a suggestion but you can increase your odds by getting more silkies...
