5 weeks old & now moved into the big house....pic heavy

:eek:WOW! That is one NICE house! I agree with you on the one that looks like a roo. Sure has the red comb and wattles showing! Your chickens seem happy with your furnishings too, especially those balesof hay or straw. Gives them plenty of exploring & hiding spaces.

We have Laurentian shavings, they are chopped up really small...a little bigger than sawdust. It is what we used for our horses. The chicks seem to really like scratching around in it & it is small enough for them to dust bathe in it.

There is a TON of chest bumping going on. Bob seems to be the #1 chest bumper. My poor roo...he is not so good. Those hens are going to own him, lol.

My DH had an aunt nicknamed "Bob"...real name was Onie.

I love your barn and that beautiful tree...I live on the western edge of Central Texas...we do not have many really large trees...too dry. First time my daughter went to Arkansas with her college band she sat at the front of the bus and was in awe of the trees...she and another girl from west Texas...the bus driver thought it was a hoot.

Good luck with your babes!

They were pretty much fully feathered by the time they were 4 weeks old. I can't believe how quickly they grew either. I should do a post with them week by week to show the difference.
