Splash Orpington, maybe splash Australorp. May possibly be a Splash Marans with clean legs.

Will know for sure when older though. Got a little bit of a tricky peep.

Definitely a cockerel. Doesn’t look to be a Saphire gem either, not sure what he is though. Probably you got a mix up from wherever he came from.

I know. I’m frustrated at the situation - not so much the store. Just tried really hard to do it right, and it’s a lot of time and energy (and some money to modify my setup to accommodate) and now will have to find him a home elsewhere. I don’t think my hen will take a replacement chick since she’s not broody now.
