We purchased several chicks from tractor supply and they couldn't tell me what type it is. The chick was yellow but now turning white. The chick has a noticeably large extended area on the front of it and it has a very extended bottom. The tale feathers are not growing in either. The chick almost looks diseased. It has patches with no feathers at all. It acts completely normal but just does not look right especially compared to our other chicks which are about the same age. Does anyone know what this could be or know of where I could find out? I can try and get pictures if that would help a lot. I'm just afraid that if she does have a disease that she will be spreading it to the others. Any help would be great!

I think you may have a CX- Cornish cross. Is it larger than it's brooder mates?

No, no bigger then the others. My husband felt the lump on the front and he says it feels very squishy. The lump on the front is bigger/more extended on her right front. Could it be a cyst or something similiar?

It's probably the crop.

Pics would be helpful. I think from your description that you have a meat bird, but a pic would confirm it.
