My hen Baby Chick hatched out 3 chicks. one is a cochin roo. I was watching them forage, when the little cochin jumped on mom's back, grabbed her top crest, and started acting like he was mating with her! I was really surprised. I think he learned it from our adult rooster, Tuffy, who mounts baby Chick in front of the baby cochin all the time. Then, Baby Chick was sitting on my lap, the little rooster jumped up on my knee and started doing it to me! Any idea why he might be doing this? He's only 5 weeks old, and less than half his mom's size. I really don't want him to continue doing this, especially not to humans!

Well, he's an early maturing cockerel filled with hormones. He may calm down sexually once he matures. He's apparently somewhat imprinted on you and considers you part of his flock. Change that behavior rapidly before it escalates to attempts at subordination.
