Hello, me and my family are new to raising chickens, but it's been a dream of ours for awhile. We finally went to a farm store and purchased 7 awesome chicks. Now after researching i understand they can be slightly different ages, etc. We have one chick though that is bigger than her siblings but we arent sure if it is a chick or a turkey. Either way we're happy we were just wondering if someone with more experience has a better idea than google images

Agree on poult. Never crossed my mind as we have no farm stores even somewhat local that carry them. If it had been a keet, I believe it would be capable of holding "World's largest keet head" title.

that's a turkey. See the little nub between the eyes where the comb would be on a chicken? That's an indicator of a turkey... I can't remember turkey anatomy, but its the floppy part that sits to the side of their beaks when their adults. Somebody in the know give me the right term!
Snood? I saw that but only after Gray said something and I looked again.

Well, learn something new every day! Never had turkeys or guineas. I thought that the small growth was the growth that guineas get on their head.

Thank you everyone, the "snood" in question was what was swinging my vote that way but everybody had an opinion lol. She does follow me around and is very sociable with people and is a sucker for falling asleep while being held so everyone loves that cuteness factor
