$50 and $100 Bills Counterfeits

Have you seen the new Mexican currency? It looks and feels like monopoly money.

I remember when I went back to the Phillipines the first time. The taxi driver gave me change in Japanese Occupation currency. I must have had "sucker" written on my forehead.

News from Mexico: The 500 peso note is being counterfeited so skillfully that even the banks are being fooled. The good news is that if you get one, you can pass it on at the Pemex station. They don't seem to notice or care.

That's true. Pennies are made out of cooper and the price of cooper at the scrapt yard is *Whistling* good price. $5 of pennies equal the same weight as a cooper radiator but you can get at least $20 worth from the radiator by itself.

Wonder if any copper scrappers take pennies though... or is that considered destruction of government property if you melt them down? Seems like it would have to be something crazy like that or scrappers would just buy up pennies and be done with it.

Scrapers do collect penny's. Any penny 1987 or older is pure copper (unless your talking wheat's & Indian penny's, some were made of brass & some bronze). Anything newer is copper/zinc (worthless) You can melt wheat's because there no longer used in circulation. The scraper will send memorial penny's(1987-1960) to china to be melted down.
