50 cent Barnvelder chicks?

They are not sexed, but I picked 3 with very tiny combs compared to the others. They also had Marans for 50 cents so I got a couple of those too.

They are most definitely barnevelder. I hope you got all pullets, but all the barnevelder roosters I've owned have always been good ones.

I'm pretty sure Barnevelders are double-laced. (Just looked at a bunch of hatchery websites, and they're fairly consistent in calling it "double laced.")

The common "laced" Wyandottes are single-laced: one dark edge around the feather.

Double-laced has two dark lines around each feather, with a light line between them and a light middle.

Partridge tends to have even more dark lines in each feather.
